Tech Lead – French Speaker

 

Key responsabilities:

    Able to technically lead a squad of development consultants;
    Autonomous and multidisciplinary, with a sense of collective commitment and competence do deal with different stakeholders;
    Ensure a continuous delivery of value to users through efficient development practices and well-coordinated releases;
    Stay up to date with the latest development trends and best practices to provide technical leadership to the team;
    Work in international projects within multidisciplinary and multi geographically distributed teams;
    Availability to travel sporadically.


Main skills:

    More than 8 years of professional experience in Java 8 and 17 development;
    Strong ability in development using Oracle 19 and PostgreSQL 16;
    Experience using JSF with PrimeFaces 4.0.4;
    Worked with Maven, Jenkins, Sonar Qube, IBM Tanzu;
    Excellent communication skills;
    Skills in writing unit test using JUnit framework;
    Good knowledge of working with Git and GitLab CI/CD;
    Experience/knowledge with Apache Kafka 7;
    Background in Agile;
    Knowledge in SAFe methodology is valued;
    Fluent written and spoken communication skills in French;
    Full professional proficiency in English;
    Written and spoken Portuguese is a plus.

Delivery Manager

 

Scope

Working with Apside Global Delivery Manager (GDM), the Aveiro Delivery Manager (DM) has dual responsibility for managing and implementing customer projects. The DM is responsible for the service delivery tasks of a set of predefined customers and/or a portfolio of activities for a particular customer, which includes customer satisfaction, project governance and project accounting.


Key responsabilities:

Project engagement

Support, coach and mentor project managers in project delivery, management and governance as required.

Create a clear matrix of roles and responsibilities to define them within the project structure.

Project governance

Define key performance indicators (KPI) with the project manager and customer.

Set up a feedback mechanism to capture customer satisfaction and share feedback.

Manage any issues, sharing actions with the customer as well as reporting its progress.

Create a communication plan with the customer.

Implement a matrix of roles and responsibilities.


Project resources

Ensure that the resources are assigned to the project.

Work to maximize remote team’s deliverables, ensuring it’s aligned with the customer's strategic needs.

Support and coach the project manager and/or the engagement manager.

Resolve resources conflicts or performance issues that may arise.

Make sure that allocated resources are fully utilized and that their time is billable to the customer; discuss with the project manager or engagement manager tactics to avoid under-utilization.

Work to have the human resources allocation system up to date, including both current and pipeline projects.

Keep up-to-date forecasts for 2-month pipeline projects, including the value of the local vs. remote ratio.


Project accounting

Monitor and report the project budget to the customer; keep track of current status and forecast future expenditure.

Ensure that all time is correctly recorded. In case of any missing time, quickly resolve and mitigate any disputes over billable/non-billable one.

Review the time spent and assess it to round up to the agreed billing rules. Evaluate non-billable time recorded on a project and review it appropriately.

Work so billing is completed on time according to internal financial processes.

Manage any billing anomalies from the customer side or as reported by the billing team.

 

Internal tasks

Contribute to the performance assessment of team members.

Within our continuous service improvement, identify and lead initiatives to improve Apside’s delivery process and strengthen our culture.


Client Management

Work in collaboration with the GDM on a client account.

Provide support in pre-sales activities and monitor the project pipeline to anticipate future demands.

Define schedules for feedback and sharing, identify weaknesses and engage the customer.

Share new opportunities arisen with the GDM and build the pipeline for future projects.


Main skills:

    Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Delivery Manager role in the technology field;
    Experienced with project management tools and methodologies;
    Good communication and financial experience in the context of project and service management;
    Experience in leading portfolio management;
    Awareness of the latest industry trends and technologies;
    Ability to develop project plans and timelines;
    Capable of coordinating and leading teams;
    Proactively identifing potential risks;
    Fluent spoken and written French is mandatory;
    Fluent spoken and written English is a plus.
